Aberdeen Waste Awareness Vehicle

This super mobile for Aberdeenshire Council is spearheading the waste awareness and recycling campaign in the North East of Scotland.

Based on a Volvo B12B single deck chassis with the Plaxton body shell having a gross vehicle weight of 18 tonnes.

We have recreated the Plaxton Paragon body shape with an increased overall vehicle height of 4.5m.

The main feature of extending side pods and internal rising floor gives a vehicle of almost double the internal floor area.

The design team at Keillor's have been able to achieve this using hydraulic pistons powered from electric hydraulic power packs with setup time of under three minutes.

The internal design incorporates ten hidden IT workstations built into sliding pod units with LAN and racking computer system at front of the coach. A large plasma display is provided for presentations and promotional work.

This vehicle will be used in a number of different ways and as a lecture theatre that can host up to one hundred people.

The external livery has been much admired and was prepared by our graphics team working with Aberdeenshire Council.
