North East Edinburgh Youth Bus

Based on a single decker Leyland National MK2, this bus has been transformed into a major eye-catching vehicle with its distinctive external livery, all spray-painted, to achieve graffiti like multi-coloured artwork.

The interior has been stripped of all seating and other bus fittings. The rear area has luxury seating to allow interaction with the youth users, along with viewing the giant plasma screen mounted on the rear wall. The front area has six workstations connected to a Local Area Network with Internet service through a roof mounted satellite dish.

The bus cab also doubles as a mobile disco, with all the workstations folded away. Double deck turntable and mixer unit with external and internal speakers create the right atmosphere.

An external awning gives usable external space, when required.

This bus has helped greatly to make the whole youth project a major success.
