An Aberdeen based oil company had a requirement for some winch cabins for the offshore market and Keillor Coachbuilders assembled and painted these for them. Keillor Coachbuilders Ltd has also received repeat orders to construct these since the initial order.
This initial order for smaller units has led to further work in the building of a much larger unit. This 20ft winch unit was to house an engineering control pod and an on board generator. These pre manufactured items were fitted to the unit by the customer after build at their premises.
From this larger unit, Keillors were asked to do a design and build exercise for a much larger unit. This 32ft unit had to be based on an articulated trailer and this unit was destined for the Middle East market. The unit contained similar pre manufactured items as the previous one, and again these were fitted by the customer after build. This project was completed on time and budget to the customers satisfaction.
